The silicone carbide cleaning disc in purple has a glass fibre reinforced backing and is very suitable for removing paint residue, rust stains, epoxy residue or welding discolouration on materials such as steel, stainless steel or non-ferrous metals. The open structure and soft disc material prevent damage to the workpiece. Purple-coloured cleaning discs have a longer service life at a lower processing speed than black-coloured cleaning discs.
