Application

For clamping tools with straight shanks without loss of concentricity or clamping force up to shank tolerance h10, for economic machining of individual and series parts with extremely high-precision machining results. HDC = heavy duty chuck, ideal for heavy-duty machining, roughing (TPC milling etc.) and finishing operations or machining high-strength or tough materials.

Execution

• High stability and radial rigidity thanks to reinforced chuck body on the HDC.
• Very high retention forces as the collet chuck fits completely in the chuck cone, the trapezoidal fine thread ensures optimum conversion of the tightening torques into clamping force.
• The ball bearing-mounted clamping nut prevents the collet chuck from slipping and reduces vibrations.
• Ground external and internal cone.
• With Balluff chip hole.
• Not compatible with the FAHRION CP clamping nut. Only for use in combination with Fahrion collets.

• Using the FAHRION wedge collet chuck creates a mechanical interlock on the Weldon surface of the tool, which completely and reliably prevents micro-creeping or the tool being pulled out.
