3M (TM) Universal Adhesive 847 is a solvent-based nitrile rubber adhesive for bonding plastics, rubber, metals, wood, leather, etc., creating strong, durable bonds. - It produces strong and durable bonds. The product is characterized by very good oil and fuel resistance and is often used for bonding rubber and other sealing materials. Universal adhesive based on nitrile rubber 3M (TM) Universal Adhesive 847 is characterized by good heat, UV, ageing and plasticizer resistance. The product bonds neoprene, regenerated rubber, nitrile rubber, SBR and butyl rubber to metals, wood and numerous plastics. Good adhesion to rubber, plastics and sealing materials is achieved at a temperature range between -40 °C and +120 °C. 3M (TM) Universal Adhesive 847 dries quickly with a bonding time of 20 minutes. Adhesive application 3M (TM) Solvent Adhesive 847 is applied with a spray gun, brush or roller. Stir product well before use and apply evenly to both surfaces. If the solvent-based adhesive is applied in overlapping coats, this first coat should sufficiently wet most surfaces. Once at least 80% of the surface is covered with the solvent cement, the required coverage has been achieved. Highly absorbent and porous substrates may require a second application.
