Use the 3M (TM) Cushion-Mount (TM) Plus plate mounting tape L1720 to mount your photopolymer plates on printing cylinders. Our 0.51 mm thick, turquoise-colored double-sided plate mounting tape has micro-channels that prevent the formation of air bubbles. It enables the cliché to be removed easily and cleanly, even if there is contamination on the clichés. It is used in combination printing with predominantly full-tone elements. 3M (TM) Cushion-Mount (TM) Plus plate mounting tape E1720 is used for easy mounting of flexographic printing plates on cylinders or sleeves. Thanks to the new adhesive technology used on the cliché side, the cliché can be removed with less effort, even if the flexographic printing plates are dirty (ink residue). The L1720 adhesive tape enables high-quality printing results when the solid areas slightly predominate in a combination of solid and halftone elements. Our Easy Mount protective film creates micro-channels on both sides of the adhesive. The diamond-shaped grid pattern creates a continuous and permanent network of micro-channels in the adhesive film, which allows air to escape between the adhesive tape and cylinder/sleeve and between the adhesive tape and cliché. The adhesive on the side with the protective film (facing the cliché) has been specially developed for photopolymer plates. It has a high holding force during the printing process and enables the printing plate to be removed easily afterwards. The adhesive on the side (facing the cylinder) without protective film has been specially developed for printing cylinders/sleeves. It ensures that the adhesive tape is easy to apply during assembly and can be removed cleanly during disassembly.
